Creating a Covid-safe environment is critical these days. If we are planning to gather in groups, we should do everything in our power to keep the attendees, staff, and community we are gathering in safe from the spread of Covid infection. Working closely with the selected venue is a critical component to safety success. Historically, we have selected a venue based on function, availability, and price, however, we must now add safety to the list of critical qualifications.
In order to begin an open line of communication with a venue around how the planning team and the venue can work together to create the safest environment possible, here are 5 questions you should ask a venue you are considering for a meeting or event.

Ask your venue these 5 questions:

  1. What protocols have you put in place due to Covid19 and guest safety?
  2. How have you trained your staff to respond to Covid19 and their own personal safety?
  3. Have you made any physical enhancements to the building in regards to Covid19 Safety?
  4. What cleaning protocols you have put in place this year?
  5. Are there any fees associated with any Covid19 safety protocols that we should be aware of?

Once you obtain the answers to these critical questions and are knowledgeable in the Covid safety measures both you and your venue are taking, make sure you share this information with your guests. This should put any guests with concerns at ease and allow you to have a safe and successful event.
