I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived to volunteer for an event this past week at Mt. Woodson Castle located at the edge of Ramona and Poway in San Diego County.   It is located in a quiet location adjacent to Mt. Woodson Golf Course.  This hidden gem would be perfect for a variety of different events with its gorgeous structure and views and close distance to San Diego.

This beautiful castle has an interesting history, it was build back in the 1920’s by a famous San Diego dress maker who purchased the Woodson Ranch and hired 2 architects to make this castle perfect for her.  They spent years designing the castle before they started construction on it.  Today it is owned by private investors and can be rented out for events.
