Using Decor for Brand Awareness and Photo Opportunities
Tired of basic decor for your events? Try elevating them by adding brand awareness. For example, if you are using moon balloons to light your event space, consider adding a logo to them to create more brand awareness. Look for opportunities in different types of decor items or activations. One idea to help get your creative juices flowing, if you are throwing a beach themed party, consider an actual coconut water giveaway and brand the coconut with your organization’s logo or sponsor logo. These special touches not only give brand visibility and elevate your event, but they also give attendees fun photo opportunities that they normally wouldn’t have access to. Consider using items like large marquee letters or a mural wall for fun photo opportunities as well. Most people can’t resist taking photos when the opportunity presents itself!
Jordan’s Top 3 Tips Learned from Getting Cvent Certified
After I recently became Cvent Certified, I wanted to share some of the best takeaways I learned when working in Cvent.
1. Limit Registrations
- Depending on the type of event, you may need to limit who is allowed to register. For example, if you are hosting an internal event, you will want to limit registration to only those who have been invited and set your event to ‘Private.’
- While in the Site Designer, for the registration process, click the gear icon next to the registration path. Under Privacy Settings, you can prevent those not on the invitation list from registering or only allow invitees to register via the email invitation.
- Pro Tip: If you are hosting a public event, but would like to prevent your competitors from registering, you can block their email domain by toggling on the “Limit registration by IP address or email domain” setting.
2. Test Emails
- Testing emails allows you to review the formatting of your emails and how they will appear to invitees. You can send test emails by hovering over the “Send” button and select who will receive the test. Use the dropdown menu to change the recipient type. It is important to utilize this feature, so you can make adjustments based on what the invitees will actually see when they receive the email. This may look different than what you see when you are on the backend drafting the email communication.
- Please note, not all hyperlinks or data tags are active in test emails.
3. Custom Reporting
- Cvent has several pre-set reports, but you can customize them to fit your needs. From the Reports page, click the dropdown next to the report you would like to run and select “Edit then Run Report”. You can then filter which invitees are included in the report and add or remove information fields.
- If this is a report that your team will need to reference regularly, save time by saving the report and sharing it with your team members or with your organization.

Tips for a Successful Site Inspection
We have been getting nothing but great feedback – this was an incredibly successful event and I think you saw in the chat and live feeds that we all managed to generate some great energy together!
I wanted to reiterate our deep and eternal gratitude for the hard work, professionalism, and excellence of Nicole and the rest of your team. On behalf of all of us – we could not have done this without you. “Lost at sea” is where we were before you fearlessly jumped in and helped manifest our crazy ideas. Thank you for showing us the way.
Would recommend you to anyone anytime with 6 stars and 3 thumbs up!

Julie was absolutely amazing throughout this process. I know we’ve all had a steep learning curve with moving from in-person to virtual events. Julie’s attention to detail and commitment to figuring out all the ins and outs (the devil is in the details, right?!) of the event were impeccable.
Alicia Quinn, VP New Business Development

I have loved working with Julie. She amazed me in how she figured out this virtual world and kept track of the details. She also nailed down every last piece so that she (and we) was certain all questions were answered, and we were on track for a wonderful event.
