This past Saturday, PriceSmart employees, family and friends transformed an unused dirt area into a reading garden for the students, teachers and families of Cadman Elementary School, a local Title 1 school in San Diego, CA. Volunteers constructed planter benches, gardened, landscaped, painted murals, and much more.

PriceSmart has an ongoing commitment to supporting education and investing in our youth. In 2011, Price Charities and PriceSmart joined forces to donate children’s literature books to all schools participating in Aprender y Crecer.

Building on that commitment, PriceSmart sponsored “PriceSmart Makes a Difference Day” for their employees to teambuild, give back and have fun. Employees showed up with their families and friends early Saturday morning ready to paint, build and garden.

PriceSmart inspires us with their ongoing commitment to supporting education and investing in our youth.  They are great role models!
