Today I ran a road show event in Birmingham, MI at the Townsend Hotel. Birmingham is a lovely town with beautiful brick buildings and sidewalks, a grassy town square, hanging flower pots lining the streets and old fashioned lamp posts. It’s quaint and felt very safe. The town has a European flair and reminded me of Victoria, BC. The Townsend Hotel is where old meets new. It had an antique feel with all the modern amenities, including key faub rooms. In addition, I slept on the most comfortable bed ever! From the interesting and friendly taxi driver that picked me up at DTW to the morning strolls to Starbucks…I would say that my trip to “Detroit” (20 minute away) was the highlight of the month.
